Pink Puppy

This is a Mitered Baby Jacket by Phazelia (Rav link only). For a friend ... a great way to use up bits and pieces of sock yarn!

Progress on the Pink Clapotis. This is for a friend who I've known since high school - since 1977. Her sister, brother-in-law, and their 3 children perished in the Victorian bushfires last month. I know this won't bring her family back, but hopefully it will provide a little comfort...

And finally a gratuitous puppy piccie (get used to it, there will be more!). This is the little black and white spotted chihuahua - 1 week old. Her eyes should be open in the next week or so.

  1. adorable pup--so sweet. i wish my kids/we could have had the experience of a litter of kittens, as this is just one of my favorite childhood memories. your clapotis is just lovely and makes me want to knit one next. as a comfort gift, it will surely be appreciated.

  2. oh the clappy is growing beautifully! Guess you figured out what was causing you problems then! Such a terrible, awful story. We do what we can for people.

Love the baby cardi. I might have to try that one with my hoardes of sock yarn.

    AGain, cute puppy!

  5. Such sweetness - from the sweet knitted gifts to the spotted puppy. And yes, terrible loss that your dear friend suffered, but what a lovely gift from a friend who remembers ...

    Keep sharing the sweetness!

  7. Awwww, look at the baby!

So sorry to hear about your friend's loss. Knowing that x number of people died is terrible. Bringing it to the particulars - a person's brother, sis-in-law, and children - makes it tragic. The clapotis is lovely and will be a wearable hug. Good for you!

    Pretty, clever baby jacket!

    Hugs to dotter!

I'm so sorry about your friend. What horror. I know your knitted hug will mean a lot to her.

  9. The jacket is going to look so cute. One day I get the pattern but have 4 more in front of it. Are you going the name the puppy when she come home or have you all been throwing out names. The Clapotis is a comfort knit and by just dropping the one stich changes it.
