I have very cool kids.
Son gave me this necklace. Yes, he made it, including all the beads! Very special ...
And Dotter knows me so well - this is the Food Safari cookbook, which has a fantastic selection of recipes from 34 countries. I can't wait to give them a whirl! I've eaten the Jewish Orange & Almond Cake (courtesy of Bells) and it was utterly divine ...
Young Bobby Ram has been moping around the house - only change he's made so far is to experiment with a nose ring. Young Flopsy Mopsy Lamby has been bugging him, as only a little child can ... she may present enough of an annoyance to get him to go out and socialise.
Jejune - that necklace is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThe Food Safari cookbook sounds good too.
You do have great kids and hubby's not too bad either :)
Cheers ... J xx
Sounds like an excellent Mothers' Day all round, and you have great kids and great hubby:)
ReplyDeleteGraham has offered to find an appropriate mate for Young Bobby Ram but personally I think he wants to see him in the pot!! We hope he finds a suitable Aussie sheila :)
oooh i bet that Food Safari Cookbook is FULL of delicious recipes to try! (I love that show!)
ReplyDeleteAnd the necklace is gorgeous =) what a thoughtful gift =)
xo
That's a gorgeous necklace and he is so clever to make it, beads and all!! Food Safari is pretty fabulous too. Glad you had a great day!!
ReplyDeleteOh that necklace is stunning!! Bravo! And what a wonderful cookbook. Sounds like you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteFlopsy Mopsy is adorable and she certainly has Bobby's number. Love it!
Bobby looks good with a nose ring. Sort of edgy.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice peaceful Mother's Day.
Ahahaha, that nose ring! And I love the necklace your son made. Very talented! The cookbook looks divine, and breakfast in bed and reading sounds like a very pampered Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed!
if Ms Flopsy Mopsy is a little too RAMbunctious she can come down here to visit her twin sister that lives in my kitchen ... Ms Ewedora
ReplyDeleteA completely random question - do you have any idea why you have the same Mothers day as us, but not the same date as 'Mothering Sunday' of the UK?
ReplyDeleteIt sounded like a great mothers day, I like the chocolate pudding, and the necklace is a work of love. 'Food Safari' - what is the first planned and plotted recipe?
I LOVE the necklace. Your son is obviously REALLY talented and I ency you the wonderful jewellery he can make you.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love the necklace!!! Hope all is well and am trying to get to a stitch n bitch real soon. Just had our second boy and ran into Georgie at the Kingston markets wool special :) Very tired which is why I don't get on here that often but love to catch up now and then.
ReplyDeleteCheers
