Buttons!

Still have this $#!@ blasted migraine - have spent all day asleep on the couch :(

In nicer news, I've submitted a button design to Secret Pal 11 :

I've also made progress on the Mermaid Gloves - I ripped out the thumb gusset a second time, and am happier with my third attempt. Photos added Saturday morning :

You can see that the thumb stitches are now on some waste yarn, and I'm not far from the fingery bits! Should have this first glove finished this weekend :D

  1. Oh you poor thing!! There is not much worse than a migraine. I always have a cold knitted 'dishcloth' handy to put over my eyes. I do have a lot of tablets but all I have to do is swallow them!!!
Nice button. Very restful and Springy I think!!!

  4. Hot water bottle on the feeties, cold damp cloth across the eyes, warm down comforter and a quiet dark room. Think of the veins and arteries in your neck and brain as wide, flexible conduits, bringing in clean, healing oxygenated blood, and washing away all those nasty old toxins.

  5. Aw, Jejune, I hate migraines. I feel for you. Have only had a few, but dear god, I wanted to take my head off and leave it there, walk away, and . . . oh, I guess that wouldn't work! Don't have any good advice but my guess is the dr. or the naturopath has given you some medicinal options. Take them! Take two!

  6. Those do look great (I'm glad you figured out the thumb thing!) And I love the button. Sorry the head is still going on - they last a while those migraines, don't they? Bummer.

  8. doesn't really help you now but I've found when I can tell a migraine is coming on the over the counter Migraine Excedrin helps. Actually by comparing labels the Extra Strength is the exact same thing as Migraine and cheaper.
