Phew bloody phew

Just heard from our property manager - our house is NOT being sold, although the rent is likely to go up by about $20/week. It's still cheaper than moving!

The owner wasn't happy with the number of plants that have died in the garden, but she hasn't lived in Canberra for the past 3 years! I think we've done pretty well, all things considered - a few camellias, native bushes, daisies, and gum trees have died, but the rest of the garden is still there, and is actually quite lush.

Heading back to bed - Dotter and Hubby have both got virusey things, which they've kindly shared with me... but at least I can relax about our accommodation!

The lace shawl is back on track, too - it's a relief to have it fixed and looking good again.

  1. we just had our owners come visit last week too, grrrr, and they too were unhappy with the yard, including the lawn, and i pointed out to them that where they are living, in new zealand, it rains. here, it doesnt. and i wont water the lawn even when im allowed to because there are more important things in the world than green lawns. what is it with these people?! but im glad you dont have to move :)

  2. Glad to hear you can stay put ...
